A minimal shadow gap detail that reads as part of the architecture — not as…

Seamless Abutment head details create a crisp shadow gap where walls meet ceilings. Corner profiles do the same at internal and external wall junctions. Both replace conventional aluminium or PVC trims with gypsum sections that bond directly into the plasterboard build-up.
Profiles are available in gap widths from 5mm to 12mm. Because each section is pre-engineered with a tapered leading edge, the finished joint is flush and consistent – with no filler buildup, no uneven edges, and no remedial finishing needed after installation.
Traditional metal trims sit on the plasterboard surface. Any skim coat or finishing compound applied over them creates a visible ridge (known in the trade as “gather”) that telegraphs through the final decoration. Seamless Abutment profiles sit within the build-up, so the finished wall reads as one continuous surface.
Because the profiles are gypsum-based, they also contribute to the fire rating and acoustic performance of the partition – something aluminium and PVC trims simply cannot do. Fire-rated shadow gap detailing at ceiling junctions and corners was not possible before Seamless Abutment.
